Characterization
The retreat takes place in one of the most remote spots of the Alpujarra section of the Sierra Nevada. It’s views and beauty are stunning, the living environment basic with running (cold) water from our well for kitchen and (outdoor) showers. We follow the principle Zen-Session arrangement, but split the sittings between inside our underground dome during the first half of the day and outsides during the second. A detailed impression of the setting you may obtain here.
Do not forget to bring with you: warm sleeping bag, meditation outfit, working dress, moccasins and solid shoes, a bowl and cleaning towel. Temperatures at the time are cold to moderately warm. Warm cloth for the morning sessions is imperative.
