II Philosophy and Non-Practice

II Philosophy and Non-Practice

To meditate is an illusory thought and not to meditate is illusory as well….

There is no way out – conditio hominis sapientis. Contrary to the material progress of welfare states or space travel and contrary to innumerous pages of philosophical and scientific papers: society is stuck in existential fear as never before. The reason is the reasoning belief in reason. According to this reasoning everything must follow human ratio, evolution itself must be ‘rationalized’ – and when this attempt fails for innumerous or singular reasons a literally maddening soul searching with ever new conceptions for reigning in what cannot be reigned in ensues. The process leads to forbidding attempts at controlling everything out of control; it leads to intellectual dictatorship in the name of infallibly but failed science. – A great unwinding of this mental dead end status is what is needed; a radical acceptance of the untouchable and uncontrollable depth of spontaneous intuition; a ‘de-practicizing’/non-practice of all practice trying to impose itself for a foreseeable end. “Entwicklungsfremdheit ist die Perspektive des Weisen.” (Aversity to evolution is the perspective of the wise, Gottfried Benn.)
